Hi,
to followup on this.

I saw the same problem at a training at a customer's site, with customer-
installed WRTs (so I don't know exactly which kernel they used).
I tried to reproduce this at home today, to be able to open a bug report
- and couldn't!
Test setup: WRT54GL v1.1, OpenWRT 8.09.02, from here:
http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/8.09.2/brcm-2.4/openwrt-wrt54g-squashfs.bin
installed via "tftp push via boot_wait" (standard method). Installed
IPv6 module via "opkg install kmod-ipv6" next, and everything behaved
as expected...
So I can only speculate that *some* kernel+squashfs bundles might have
problems - but I'm not going to test all WRT bundles now to see if one
of them might fail. "wrt54g" definitely works :-)
(For the record, the brcm-2.4/...-wrt54g-...) binary for the newly
released 10.03 openwrt also works)
