I've heard the doom and gloom but I haven't heard a definitive statement
on how it was determined. My personal web site has a quad A record as
well as an A but how would I know if people couldn't reach it because of
the quad A?
One thing that is probably needed though if this "concern" continues to
act as bar to associating a quad A record with "the" web site is a
standard way of describing the IPv6 accessible version. Should it be
"www.ipv6.$domain", "ipv6.$domain", or something else. As a user I would
prefer it is there wasn't a need at all but if there is then just one
way would be best.
At the moment I use "www.ipv6.$domain" for my "survey" of the IPv6
readiness of a selection of sites, see <http://www.mrp.net/IPv6.html>
(assuming you can get to it as it does have a AAAA record :)
Mark.
