Curious situation - not urgent, but I'd like to know more

Just a quick update - I sent some details of the client config to John
Brzozowski offlist just now.

Brian's info sounds reasonable, and I'm willing to bet that's what is the
root cause, but I'm going to wait for John to have his say, and we'll see
what comes of that.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, and I'll keep the list posted with any
results.
