That seems to be... a bit silly.  What's correct for a given MTU and IPv4
TCP will be 20 bytes too big for IPv6 - and surprising as well.

(Also, introducing this in the middle of an "M" train is in strong
violation of POLA... is there a process to get IOS coders moved to 
first-level support for a few months, so they understand what damage
they do?)
