IPSec vendor inter-operation

Hello list,

In reading documentation and release notes from Cisco and Juniper, both seem to support inter-site IPSec VPNs with their hardware terminating on each end (and at least on Cisco's side, I believe the same tunnel can carry v4 and v6 traffic)

What I am not able to find so far is any indication about inter-vendor operation.  Has anyone seen or heard of a successful implementation of IPSec VPNs between two sites, for example with one terminating the VPN on C and the other on J hardware?  How about cross-vendor IPSec over IPv6 that is transporting IPv4 and IPv6 in the same tunnel?
