dns-report -- The DNS Weather Report

About dns-report
English (USA)

The DNS Weather Report is a periodic survey of selected infrastructure zones done in regular intervals (hopefully once a week). Postings are not done when there are no problems found with the analyzed zones to prevent noise.

The author uses "doc" 2.2.3 to do the automatic survey and then verifies the accuracy of reported alledged problems and tries to conclude reason(s) and put things into perspective.

"doc" can be found at: http://www.shub-internet.org/brad/dns/

"doc" checks several things, among them:
- reachability of name servers
- SOA serial synchronicity
- consistency of parent zone (delegation) and in-zone NS RRset.
