The box in question was using a fairly oldish linux version (2.6.18 from
CentOS 5.8), and the e1000 driver.
So I'm not sure if that applies to anyone else, but *if* you run into
weird "IPv4 is fast, IPv6 is slow" performance issues, try turning off
tso with ethtool, and see whether it changes anything (for new connections)
- if not, it's not TSO :)
