Labels on addresses in Linux are basically useless. Their only point
is to simulate Linux 2.4 aliases (ie. eth0:1 and the likes), and those
are no longer supported with IPv6 anyways.
I believe the idea was to loosen up the address labeling at some point
(so you could attach whatever textual label you wanted), but seemingly
it never happened.
