In a certain respect, I'm actually quite a fan of RIPE's practice of 
announcing a LIR assigned subnet.  As it's a high profile networking site, 
it points out routing breakage and topological crapology in the v6 DFZ much 
better than common or garden end-user sites.

Let's rephrase the question as something much more important: when shall 
network operators begin to use a routing policy that works?
