It's actually a Metro-E circuit we're running at MTU capped to 1480. We're
having some technical issues with one of our IGP implementations that's
confused between having different MTU'd links. So as a temporary workaround
we're using consistent 1480 MTU still on a number of backbone links until we
complete migration off of the tunnels.

As a matter of experiment, 2001:4d88::/32 is temporarily rerouted via 3257
(Tiscali) peer. Please check and see if you are still having pMTU problems.
