... which is why the list very explicitely states that this is just
material to get started (including some discussion about "why" and
"why not"), and one needs to keep up-to-date regarding changes...

I still maintain that "clueful upstream providers that keep a close lid
on their *downstream* announcements" would bring us all a big step forward
- and all the rest won't achieve as much...
