It is.  What hardware/software combo do you have this problem on?  Have
you opened a case with the vendor yet?

That's simple until someone decided to make life easier by using
interface IDs that identify the router for the link-local addresses; I
personally have a tendency to opt for fe80::feed:<router number>/64, and
I've seen other people do similar things.  You bring one of these
machines into an existing network with that sort of addressing scheme,
and the rather simple workaround means that addressing scheme goes down
the drain.

Feel free to quote me on this if the vendor can't be bothered to
consider this a "real" problem:-)
