Turning off DAD is good on point-to-point links anyway. It's (in places) 
common practice to "loop" these, triggering DAD for some or all addresses 
configured and then it won't come out of DAD for those unless the 
interface is shut/no shut.

I had this happen to me on POS interfaces a few years back.
