I cannot confirm this. It works with ipv4 and ipv6 in the same manner.

curl -v -6  http://www.nic.it/ 
curl -v -4  http://www.nic.it/

I think, it was a temporary problem. "My" problem with "amen" and the wrong 
AAAA-Records are still there.
