When it comes to a certain vendor we share in common, "IPv6
supported" doesn't actually mean "IPv6 practical". I've recently
learned just how big the differentiate between "software support"
and "hardware support" can be. We are being told by our vendor to
expect as low as 1/76th the packet-per-second performance in our
hardware that has only software IPv6 support. Obviously, that
won't do for the long run.

I had known there would be such issues, but just how big the gap
is in software support is a bit of a surprise. Particularly when
you consider it was not that long ago this stuff was made.

Good luck, and let me encourage you to share any good info to
this list you may come across as you move forward.
